Billy Preston brings a gospel-rooted sensibility to the dance-minded pop and funk of the 1970s, where a strong groove could carry both exuberance and feeling. “Nothing From Nothing” leads this 1974 single, with “My Soul Is A Witness” alongside it, giving the release two distinct titles to hold in mind without asking one to explain the other. Issued by A&M Records as 1544-S, it belongs to a moment when disco’s pulse was finding room across soul and pop. Preston’s place as a keyboardist makes this a fitting meeting of groove and musical craft.

Label: A&M Records
Catno: 1544-S
Year: 1974
Genre: Funk / Soul
Style: Disco
Country: United States
Artist country: United States
Media condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Sleeve condition: Generic

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/0788/7187/files/wm_ya17280_side_a_billy_preston_nothing_from_nothing.jpg?v=1793026412
