billy-preston-my-soul-is-a-witness-nothing-from-nothing-ya16128
Billy Preston - My Soul Is A Witness / Nothing From Nothing

Billy Preston brings two sides of his musical personality together on this 1973 single: the gospel-rooted conviction of “My Soul Is A Witness” and the buoyant, playful spirit of “Nothing From Nothing.” A keyboardist and singer, Preston drew on gospel’s long tradition of turning testimony into song, where a direct message can carry both devotion and rhythmic lift. Here, that tradition meets the groove-conscious energy associated with funk and soul, with each title offering its own point of entry. Issued by A&M Records as 1544-S, the record reflects how naturally gospel feeling could travel into popular music without losing its sense of purpose.

Label: A&M Records
Catno: 1544-S
Year: 1973
Genre: Funk / Soul
Style: Disco
Country: United States
Artist country: United States
Media condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Sleeve condition: Generic

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/0788/7187/files/wm_ya16128_side_a_billy_preston_my_soul_is_a_witness.jpg?v=1793080710
