Waxer.eu was created from one simple idea: when you buy a record online, you want to see exactly what you are getting. Not a general image, not an example photo, not a perfect cover taken from a database, but the actual record and the actual sleeve that will be shipped to you. That may sound obvious, but in the world of used vinyl records, this is still far from standard.
Together with Sander and Hans, I was involved in creating Waxer.eu from the very beginning. Through VinylFarm.EU, we know how large the market for used vinyl records is, but we also know what often makes customers uncertain. A used record has a past. A sleeve may have light wear, a sticker, a name written on it, discoloration, or sometimes a unique detail that makes the item even more special. That is exactly why we believe it is so important for every customer to see as clearly as possible what they are buying.
At Waxer.eu, we want to remove that uncertainty. That is why we do not use stock photos. Every 7 inch single is photographed individually, with attention to both the front and the back. This gives a much fairer impression of the item. You are not just buying a title, you are buying one specific copy. That fits much better with the way collectors look at vinyl.
For us, an original image is not only a service, but also a form of respect. Respect for the customer, who wants to make an honest choice. Respect for the music, because every item has its own history. And respect for the work we do, because we want to show that Waxer.eu is more than just another record webshop.
Our ambition is big. We want Waxer.eu to grow step by step with 500 new items every day. That is a lot, but it is exactly the scale we want to build towards. Not by letting go of quality, but by constantly improving our process. More items, more choice, more unique finds, while still holding on to the most important principle: showing exactly what you are buying.
Waxer.eu is part of VinylFarm.EU, but it has its own character. Where VinylFarm.EU has been selling a huge vinyl stock worldwide for years, Waxer.eu focuses specifically on 7 inch singles. These are often small pieces of art in their own right. Some are well known, some are rare, some are unusual, and some have almost been forgotten. That enormous variety is exactly what makes them so charming.
We believe there is still so much music waiting to be rediscovered. In boxes, collections and warehouses, there are singles that sometimes have not been looked at for years. With Waxer.eu, we want to make those items visible again. Not only as products, but as little pieces of music history.
In the coming period, more and more singles will be added online. The collection will continue to grow every day. Our goal is that visitors can always discover something new, and that collectors know they can buy from Waxer.eu with confidence. What you see is what you get. That will always be our foundation.
