J. C. Stone - Carrie's Gone / Carrie's Gone

Description
J. C. Stone opens this 1974 single with “Carrie’s Gone,” a title that places a small, human story at its center. Blues has long made room for songs shaped around everyday heartache, where direct writing carries as much weight as the tradition’s musical roots. Here, the singer-songwriter and soft-rock setting brings that storytelling spirit into focus without losing sight of the blues association. “Carrie’s Gone” also appears on the reverse, keeping the song itself at the heart of the release. Issued by Private Stock Records as PSR 45,002, this USA pressing pairs two sides under one title, leaving the listener with a song built around a name and an absence.
