The Brothers Iv - Low Bridge / Hey, Hey, My Honey

Description
“Low Bridge” opens a curious pairing with “Hey, Hey, My Honey,” bringing two familiar titles together under the name The Brothers Iv. Their Columbia single, JS7-25, sits in the wide world of American song, where communal tunes and artful vocal writing have long shared a place. The classical and choral tags suggest a meeting with the more formal traditions of Romantic and late-Romantic music, while the titles themselves keep the focus on songs meant to be carried from one voice to another. The Brothers Iv are the credited artists here; the record’s appeal lies in that crossing between cultivated song and music made to be remembered together.
