9Th Creation - Let's Dance / Shucks, You're Fine

Description
“Let’s Dance” gives 9Th Creation a lively invitation, while “Shucks, You’re Fine” adds a more personal turn to this 1979 funk and soul single. Disco’s steady pulse and funk’s emphasis on groove meet naturally in music made for movement, with soul lending the invitation a human warmth. The two titles offer distinct ways into the group’s world, balancing an open call to dance with a direct compliment. Issued on Hilltak Records as PW 7901, the single belongs to a moment when dance music could draw freely on disco, funk and soul without losing the pleasure of a strong, memorable hook.
