El Poder Del Norte - Buena Onda / Una Lagrima

Description
El Poder Del Norte brings two titles to this 1990 single: “Buena Onda” and “Una Lagrima.” Its corrido, norteño and ranchera associations place the release in a broad Mexican tradition where regional storytelling and dance music meet, carried forward through songs that stay close to everyday feeling. Corridos have long used concise musical narratives to give people and events a place in song; norteño’s dance-minded pulse and ranchera’s expressive phrasing offer neighboring paths through that tradition. Here, the titles stand together without needing a story supplied from outside the record. Issued on Th-Rodven as catalog number TH-MEX 1592, this U.S.-pressed 7-inch keeps those traditions in view.
