Los Angeles Negros - Yo Lo Comprendo / Son Mentiras

Description
Los Angeles Negros bring romantic balladry into focus on this 1974 single, where the yearning language of the bolero meets the tenderness of Latin pop. “Yo Lo Comprendo” and “Son Mentiras” make a compelling pair of titles, each carrying the emotional directness that gives a love song its staying power. The tradition behind this music prizes a memorable melody and words that speak plainly to longing, heartbreak, and devotion; here, that tradition sits comfortably alongside the rock-inflected character of balada romántica. Released on International as catalog number 709, this Chilean group’s single belongs to a style built to make private feelings feel shared.
