Frankie Laine - Take Me Back / Forsaking All Others

Description
On this 7-inch single, Frankie Laine pairs “Take Me Back” with “Forsaking All Others,” two titles that give the release a quietly intriguing sense of longing and devotion. Laine’s work sits in the tradition of the popular vocal song, where a distinctive voice carries a melody straight to the listener and gives familiar themes a personal shape. That tradition thrives on clarity and direct feeling: a song can make a promise, revisit a memory, or hold a listener’s attention through the voice alone. Issued by Abc Records as catalog number 11097, this USA pressing brings two sides of Laine’s vocal repertoire together in a compact release.
