Chelo / Chelo "La Voz Tropical" Y Su Conjunto - Olvidate De Mi / Corazon No Llores

Description
Chelo’s 1977 single brings two titles into the orbit of cumbia española, where the cumbia’s lilting pulse meets a Spanish-language popular tradition. “Olvidate De Mi” is credited to Chelo, while “Corazon No Llores” carries the fuller credit Chelo "La Voz Tropical" Y Su Conjunto; the distinct names are part of this release’s character. Cumbia has always made room for movement and feeling in the same rhythm, a balance that gives this pairing a natural point of connection without turning either title into a promise about its sound. Issued in Mexico on Musart, catalog number 45-5088, it captures a meeting of title, voice and tradition.
