Ronnie Mcdowell With The Jordanaires - Animal / I Just Wanted You To Know

Description
“Animal” opens with the kind of plainspoken title that sits comfortably between country’s storytelling tradition and rockabilly’s restless edge. On the flip, “I Just Wanted You To Know” brings a more tender phrase into the same meeting ground, where country songs can carry a direct feeling and rock and roll keeps things moving. Ronnie Mcdowell With The Jordanaires is the name to follow through both sides, with country and rockabilly offering a natural home for this pairing. Issued in 1978 on Scorpion Records as SC-0553, the single belongs to a tradition that lets a strong title do real work: setting a scene before the song has even begun.
