Silk - This Side Up / Don't Take Your Love Away

Description
Silk’s 1976 single sits where glam rock’s flair for bold presentation meets pop’s gift for a direct, memorable title. That tradition often made room for theatrical gestures without losing sight of the everyday feelings at a song’s heart. “This Side Up” shares the release with “Don't Take Your Love Away”; together, the titles suggest a neat contrast between a playful turn of phrase and an appeal grounded in affection, without needing any larger story attached. The compact pop-rock setting keeps that balance in view. Issued by Arista Records as ARISTA 83B 45, this United Kingdom pressing reflects glam’s knack for bringing style and plainspoken emotion together.
