The Melachrino Strings Conducted By George Melachrino - Soft Lights And Sweet Music / Love Walked In / Some Enchanted Evening / This Heart Of Mine

Description
The Melachrino Strings Conducted By George Melachrino bring an orchestral touch to four familiar standards, moving from the paired “Soft Lights And Sweet Music / Love Walked In” to “Some Enchanted Evening / This Heart Of Mine.” The sequence makes room for both the sparkle of a show tune and the tenderness of a romantic song, in the polished easy-listening tradition where strings give popular melodies a graceful new setting. Rca Victor issued this United States pressing as EPB 1006; 547-0282. These songs come from a world of standards built to travel between stage, screen and the repertoire of musicians who keep returning to them.
