Rough Trade - All Touch / The Sacred And The Profane

Description
Rough Trade bring the sharp, restless spirit of new wave to “All Touch,” a title that sits neatly beside the more solemn-sounding “The Sacred And The Profane.” The contrast in those names gives this 1982 single a little intrigue before the needle even lands: one suggests immediacy, the other a larger question, and together they point toward rock’s gift for holding wit and seriousness in the same hand. Released in the USA by Boardwalk Entertainment Co. as NB-11-167-7, it belongs to an era when new wave made room for angular ideas and pop-minded nerve. Rough Trade’s Canadian identity adds another thread to that story.
