Sandy Nelson - Teen Beat / Big Jump

Description
“Teen Beat” and “Big Jump” make a lively pairing from Sandy Nelson, whose instrumental rock and roll puts the rhythm right up front. There’s no need for words when a tune can move through a crisp beat and a memorable melodic hook; that directness is part of rock and roll’s enduring appeal. Released as a USA-pressed 7-inch single by Original Sound Record Co., catalog OR-5, this record brings two titles together in the compact, energetic form made for a quick spin and another listen. Nelson is a drummer, and these instrumental sides offer a neat invitation to hear how much character a beat can carry on its own.
