Ace Cannon - Saxy Lullabye / Funny (How Time Slips Away)

Description
Ace Cannon brings rockabilly into the small hours on this 7-inch single, pairing the teasingly named “Saxy Lullabye” with “Funny (How Time Slips Away).” Rockabilly has always had room for a little mischief: its lean, restless spirit can turn a familiar tune into something with a fresh edge, while still keeping the song at the center. Here, the two titles invite a pleasing contrast between a lullaby’s promise of calm and a reflection on time passing. Issued on Hi as 45-2101, this USA pressing keeps the focus on Cannon and the songs themselves—two concise titles with plenty of character in their names.
