Alannah Myles - Black Velvet / If You Want To

Description
The Canadian 7-inch single pairs “Black Velvet” with “If You Want To,” bringing two Alannah Myles titles together on Atlantic, catalog number 7-88742. Myles works in rock, and the blues-rock thread here points toward a tradition built on the pull between a strong song and blues-rooted guitar language. That tradition has always made room for grit and polish in the same breath, giving rock a vocabulary that can feel direct without losing its roots. The titles stand as the release’s clear anchors, with “Black Velvet” leading the way and “If You Want To” completing the pairing. A compact release rooted in blues rock’s enduring conversation with rock.
