Andy Gibb - Shadow Dancing / Let It Be Me

Description
This 1978 7-inch single pairs Andy Gibb’s “Shadow Dancing” with “Let It Be Me,” bringing two distinct titles together in the era’s lively disco setting. Disco gave the dance floor a strong pulse and a generous sense of occasion, while soul’s warmth and funk’s rhythmic drive helped make the style feel inviting as well as propulsive. Here, the contrast between the two songs is part of the release’s appeal: a title-led dance-era track alongside a familiar song title, both preserved on a United States pressing from Rso Records, catalog RS 893. It’s a compact reminder of how broadly disco could welcome a song into its world.
