Andy Williams - Almost There / Dear Heart

Description
Andy Williams brings the poised warmth of a pop vocalist to both sides of this 1964 single. “Almost There” and “Dear Heart” place two distinct titles in a tradition where a clear melody and an expressive voice can make a song feel like a personal conversation. Williams’s name is the thread between them: the appeal lies in hearing one singer meet two different songs with the same easy command. Issued in the USA on Columbia Hall Of Fame, catalog number 13-33090, this 7-inch release keeps the focus on the songs themselves. It’s a reminder of how much character a familiar voice can lend to a song.
