Anna Rosanna / Blue Haze - Blue Haze / Smoke Gets In Your Eyes

Description
A little reggae sway goes a long way. This 1972 single brings Anna Rosanna and Blue Haze together on A&M Records, with “Blue Haze” on one side and “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” on the other. Reggae cover versions let familiar songs travel through a different rhythmic tradition: the melody can remain recognizable while the groove shifts around it. That exchange is part of reggae’s lasting appeal, making room for reinterpretation rather than treating a song as fixed. Issued in the United States as AM-1357, the record pairs two distinct titles within that tradition, inviting a fresh encounter with songs carried into reggae’s rhythmic world.
