Anne Murray - Love Song / You Can't Go Back

Description
Anne Murray brings two distinct titles together on this 1973 single: “Love Song” and “You Can't Go Back.” Soft rock has always made room for songs that favor an open-hearted melody and a direct emotional thread, finding intimacy without losing the shape of a pop song. Murray’s name sits naturally in that tradition, while the contrast between these titles gives the release its own small narrative: one looks toward love, the other toward what cannot be revisited. Issued in Canada on Capitol, catalog number 3776, this 7-inch single belongs to a moment when thoughtful songwriting could feel both personal and widely shared.
