Anne Murray - You Can't Go Back / Love Song

Description
Anne Murray opens “You Can't Go Back” with a title that feels like a small truth about time: the past can be remembered, but it cannot be lived again. On this 1972 soft-rock single, that reflective turn meets the easy, direct storytelling at the heart of the style, where a song’s emotional pull matters more than grand gestures. Murray was a singer, and her clear, unshowy approach gives the music room to carry its feeling. The flip brings “Love Song,” a title that answers the first with a warmer promise. Issued in Canada on Capitol, catalog number 3776, the pairing leaves memory and affection in conversation.
