B.B. & Q. Band / Imagination - I'll Always Love You / New Dimension

Description
There’s a lovely bit of contrast here. B.B. & Q. Band bring “I’ll Always Love You,” while Imagination answer with “New Dimension,” giving this 1981 single two distinct names and titles to follow. Both sit within the supple territory where funk and soul meet contemporary R&B and the dancefloor: a tradition built on strong grooves, polished hooks and music made to move between close listening and a lively room. Issued in the United Kingdom by Red Bus Records as RBS 216, it catches that club-minded moment when soul’s warmth and dance music’s forward pull were finding common ground. Two artists, one shared pulse.
