Bee Gees - Rest Your Love On Me / Too Much Heaven

Description
The Bee Gees bring two contrasting moods together on this 1978 single: the country-leaning tenderness of “Rest Your Love On Me” and the expansive pop-soul of “Too Much Heaven.” The pairing catches a group moving easily between styles, while keeping melody and vocal expression at the center. Country songs often make a virtue of plainspoken devotion; disco and soul, meanwhile, can turn feeling into something sweeping and communal. Here those traditions sit side by side, offering different ways into the same emotional world. Released in the USA on Rso, catalog number RS 913, this 7 inch single shows how wide a pop song’s heart can be.
