Betty Wright - A Song For You / Lovin' Is Really My Game

Description
Betty Wright brings a soul singer’s directness to a pair of titles that turn toward love from different angles. “A Song For You” opens the way, its title suggesting an intimate address; on the flip, “Lovin' Is Really My Game” makes the feeling a little more playful. The contrast suits the rich meeting of soul and disco in late-’70s records, where a personal voice could sit comfortably within dance music’s pulse. Issued in 1978 on Alston as 3745, this American 7-inch keeps the focus on Wright and the two songs: one tender in implication, the other confident in its declaration.
