Bill Phillips - I Talked About You Too / Everything Turns Out For The Best

Description
“I Talked About You Too” sets a personal turn of phrase beside “Everything Turns Out For The Best,” a title that leaves room for hope. Bill Phillips brings these songs into country music’s long tradition of telling stories through plainspoken lines, where love, regret and resilience find a place in everyday language. That directness is part of country’s enduring appeal: a feeling can be intimate and still sound familiar to anyone who has lived through a change of heart. Decca’s 32295 pairs the two titles with a thoughtful contrast, moving from talk of someone close to a brighter outlook. Country songwriting often makes that shift feel worth hearing.
