Billy Joe Royal - Searchin’ For Some Kind Of Clue / This Too Shall Pass

Description
“Searchin’ For Some Kind Of Clue” gives this Billy Joe Royal single its first point of focus, while “This Too Shall Pass” offers a second title with a quietly enduring thought at its heart. Royal’s country-rock setting brings together two traditions with deep roots in American popular music: country’s direct storytelling and rock’s open, driving energy. The appeal of that meeting lies in its room for both plainspoken feeling and a little forward motion. Released by Atlantic as catalog number 7-87933, this United States pressing keeps the titles close to the country-rock world Royal is associated with, where familiar forms can still leave space for a personal voice.
