Bobby Goldsboro - Goodbye Marie / Goodbye Marie

Description
Country pop has a knack for turning a simple farewell into a story you can carry with you. Bobby Goldsboro brings that familiar country tradition to “Goodbye Marie,” a title that gives this 1980 single its clear point of focus. The song’s name appears on both sides, keeping the record centered on the same parting rather than suggesting a second title. Country music often finds its heart in everyday relationships and plainspoken emotion, while pop’s polish makes those stories easy to hold close. Issued by Curb Records as ZS9 5400, this United States pressing connects Goldsboro’s country-pop identity to a tradition built around memorable songs and intimate farewells.
