Bobby Goldsboro - Honey / Danny

Description
United Artists Records’ “Honey” single, issued as UA 50283, places Bobby Goldsboro at the tender heart of a country-rock ballad tradition built on direct storytelling and melody. The title track is paired with “Danny,” giving this 7-inch release two distinct songs to carry its gentle pop sensibility. Goldsboro was a singer-songwriter, and that role sits naturally with music shaped around memorable tunes and personal feeling: country rock often lets a plainspoken song keep its warmth while pop brings the melody into clear focus. Here, the record’s identity rests in Goldsboro’s voice and the two titles, “Honey” and “Danny”—a compact meeting of pop craft and country-rooted song.
