Bobby Helms - Work Things Out With Annie / With Jenny On My Mind

Description
Bobby Helms brings a country storyteller’s touch to “Work Things Out With Annie,” where a small human dilemma becomes the heart of the song. Country music has long made room for such close-up tales: everyday choices, tangled feelings and the people who make them matter. Helms keeps the focus on the story, giving the title its easy, conversational pull. The flip side, “With Jenny On My Mind,” turns to another name and another corner of personal life, extending the intimate, character-led spirit of the pairing. Released in 1974 on Gusto, catalog GO 119, this USA pressing carries that enduring country pleasure of finding a whole little world in a song.
