Bobby Sherman - The Drum / Free Now To Roam

Description
“The Drum” and “Free Now To Roam” pair two sides of Bobby Sherman’s pop-rock world on this 7-inch single. Sherman was a pop singer, and these titles sit in a tradition where a direct vocal and a memorable song could carry pop across the divide between rock’s energy and the familiar craft of popular song. The release appeared on Metromedia Records as MMS-217. Rather than leaning on grand claims, it offers a compact meeting point between a named voice and two distinct songs, each with its own place on the disc. The pairing makes this single a small, telling document of vocal pop’s breadth.
