Bobby Sullivan - For You / My Aching Heart

Description
Bobby Sullivan’s “For You” is paired with “My Aching Heart,” bringing two distinctly named songs together on a 1977 country single. Country music has always made room for direct feeling and plainspoken storytelling, a tradition that gives a pairing like this its familiar human scale without needing grand gestures. Issued by Revis Records as IRDA 418, the seven-inch comes from the enduring world of country singles, where a song’s central thought can be carried in just a few minutes. Sullivan is credited as the artist on both sides, and the release’s USA pressing places this particular copy in the country’s own record-making tradition.
