Body - Touch Me Up / Touch Me Up

Description
Mca Records’ 1990 single gives Body’s “Touch Me Up” a place in the lively meeting of contemporary R&B and hip hop. The title appears on both sides, keeping the focus on the song itself and the expressive possibilities of a direct, memorable refrain. R&B has long made room for intimacy and rhythmic conversation, while hip hop brings a close attention to pulse and phrasing; together, those traditions give this release its musical setting. Issued as a 7-inch single under catalog number MCA-79056, it belongs to a period when the styles were increasingly sharing space in popular music. Body keeps the title front and center.
