Brian Hyland - Hung Up In Your Eyes / Why Mine

Description
Brian Hyland brings a tender pop-ballad sensibility to “Hung Up In Your Eyes,” a title that places the heart right in the middle of its own confusion. The rhythm-ballad tradition makes room for feeling without losing its forward motion: a measured pulse carries the story while the melody keeps it close and personal. Hyland’s name gives this Philips single its focal point, with catalog number 40424. On the flip, “Why Mine” turns the thought into a question, adding a second angle to the record’s romantic mood. Teen pop often found its richest moments in these small, direct gestures: love made vivid through a phrase anyone could understand.
