Carole King - So Far Away / Smackwater Jack

Description
Carole King’s songwriting brings a pianist’s sense of shape to soft rock, where a clear melody can hold both intimacy and strength. On this Ode single, “So Far Away” sits beside “Smackwater Jack,” giving the two sides distinct titles without asking either to stand in for the other. The release’s American pressing and the Ode catalog number ODE-66019 place the record plainly, while King’s name keeps the focus where it belongs: on songs built to travel from the piano bench into popular music. Together, the titles trace the range a songwriter can hold within a single release.
