Carpenters - I Need To Be In Love / Sandy

Description
Carpenters bring a tender pop sensibility to “I Need To Be In Love,” a song whose title suggests the longing at the heart of a familiar romantic tradition: the hope that love can feel both deep and dependable. On the flip, “Sandy” offers a second title to discover, giving this single its own small contrast without asking either song to carry a story beyond what its name tells us. Vocal pop often finds its strength in the intimacy of a clear melody and a direct address, and that human scale remains part of its enduring appeal. This United States 1976 7-inch single is on A&M, catalog 1828-S.
