Cecil Parker - Love Is / Love Is

Description
Issued in 1980, this Tec Records single pairs the same title, “Love Is,” on both sides, giving Cecil Parker’s release a neat, memorable symmetry. Parker is credited as the artist, and the track sits in the broad soul tradition, where a song’s emotional center matters as much as its arrangement: love has long offered soul writers a subject large enough for tenderness, longing and plainspoken conviction. That familiar theme feels especially fitting on a compact 7-inch, where a title can carry the whole invitation. Tec Records’ catalog number TEC 769 identifies this US pressing, a concise entry in the enduring conversation between soul music and love.
