Chely Wright - It Was / Rubbin' It In

Description
Chely Wright opens with “It Was,” a country song that makes room for the delicate pull of memory and the plainspoken storytelling at the heart of the tradition. Country music often finds its strength in a single well-chosen detail, letting a familiar feeling unfold without dressing it up; Wright’s title invites that kind of close attention. The release pairs it with “Rubbin' It In,” bringing a second turn to the story rather than simply repeating its mood. Issued by Mca Nashville as catalog number 0881721137 in 1999, this single catches country songwriting in its enduring element: finding the weight in everyday words.
