Cher - The Way Of Love / Don't Put It On Me

Description
Kapp’s KS-2158 pairs Cher’s “The Way Of Love” with “Don't Put It On Me,” two songs that let a pop vocalist bring a strong sense of character to each line. Pop has always made room for the voice to carry a song’s emotional weight, whether the delivery is tender, direct or edged with resolve; Cher’s performance gives that tradition a vivid focal point. The contrast between these titles invites a listener to linger over the different shades of feeling they suggest, without needing to turn them into a single story. This United States pressing keeps the focus on Cher and the songs themselves.
