Chris Jasper - Superbad / Superbad (Instrumental)

Description
Chris Jasper brings “Superbad” to the heart of a funk tradition built on groove, repetition and the pleasure of a strong rhythmic hook. The title returns on the reverse as “Superbad (Instrumental),” shifting attention from the words to the shape of the arrangement without changing the song at its center. Jasper is a songwriter and musician, and this 1987 single gives the track two distinct ways to meet its central idea. Issued in the USA by Cbs Associated Records as ZSA-97857, it belongs to a soul lineage where a tune can hold its ground through both voice and instrumental form.
