Cinema - Cinema 6 / Play Me

Description
“Cinema 6” and “Play Me” meet on this 1988 single by Cinema, pairing two compact titles under the name of a band whose credit invites a little curiosity. The release sits in the rich territory of funk and soul, with rhythm and blues at its heart: traditions built around groove, vocal expression and the close conversation between players. A&M Records issued the 7-inch as AM-1213, placing the two tracks together in a concise format made for the immediacy of a single. The titles are distinct, but both point toward a shared musical language where rhythm gives a song its shape and momentum.
