Cledus Maggard And The Citizen’S Band - The White Knight / The White Knight

Description
In 1975, Cledus Maggard And The Citizen’S Band put “The White Knight” on both sides of this Mercury single, a playful country release built around one memorable title. The repeated name suits a tradition that often lets a song’s central character carry the whole tale: country storytelling can turn a familiar voice, a simple premise, or a bit of wit into something listeners can take along with them. Here, the title itself is the invitation, and its return gives the record a neatly circular feel. Issued in the United States as Mercury 73751 / 2-52307, it keeps the focus firmly on the song.
