Commodores - Flying High / X-Rated Movie

Description
“Flying High” and “X-Rated Movie” bring two sides of the Commodores’ 1978 Motown single together: one title reaching skyward, the other winking at grown-up mischief. The band’s funk and soul roots meet the polished pop and disco currents of the era, where an irresistible groove could carry both playful character and a strong melodic hook. Issued on Motown as M 1452F, this 7-inch connects to a tradition built for the dance floor as much as for memorable songcraft. The Commodores’ name sits comfortably in that meeting of rhythmic drive and accessible soul, with both titles sharing the same compact, lively frame.
