Craig Hundley - South American Getaway / One Tin Soldier

Description
Craig Hundley brings together “South American Getaway” and “One Tin Soldier” on a 7-inch single that sits at an inviting crossroads of easy listening, jazz-rock and orchestral jazz. The contrast between the two titles gives the pairing its shape, while both belong to the broad world of songs carried by memorable melodies and polished arrangements. That balance of accessibility and musical color has long been part of jazz’s conversation with popular song: a familiar tune can leave room for instrumental detail without losing its welcome. Issued by World Pacific as 77935 S and pressed in the United States, this single keeps that meeting of jazz and pop close at hand.
