Da'butt - E.U. (From The School Daze Soundtrack) / I.U. (From The School Daze Soundtrack)

Description
Da'butt brings the bright, communal pulse of go-go to this 1988 single, a sound built to keep rhythm moving and make room for the crowd. Funk’s deep pocket meets go-go’s rolling, percussion-led momentum here, with the two soundtrack titles linking the record to School Daze: “E.U. (From The School Daze Soundtrack)” and “I.U. (From The School Daze Soundtrack).” The paired names give the release a clear connection to the film without needing to turn the music into a footnote; the pleasure is in how funk and go-go make rhythm feel shared, not solitary. Issued by Emi Manhattan as B-50115, this USA pressing captures that tradition on a compact 7-inch single.
