Dave Edmunds - Blue Monday / I'll Get Along

Description
A little pop-rock snap goes a long way. Dave Edmunds brings a fondness for rock ’n’ roll’s bright hooks and sturdy drive to this 7-inch single, where “Blue Monday” shares the bill with “I’ll Get Along.” The songs sit in a tradition that prizes direct melodies and a lively pulse: music made to connect quickly, without losing its craft. Released on Mam as 45-3611, this USA pressing captures that concise, song-first spirit in miniature. Edmunds is a singer and guitarist, and that roots-minded pop-rock sensibility makes a natural thread between the two titles. Here, the pleasure is in the durable appeal of a well-made song.
