Dave Martin & His Trio - Conga Walk / Sugar Daddy

Description
Jazz has always made room for rhythm to lead, and this single puts a Latin pulse at the heart of the conversation. Dave Martin & His Trio open with “Conga Walk,” a title that invites the beat to step forward; then “Sugar Daddy” turns the page, giving the record its own change of direction. The pairing keeps the focus on instrumental interplay, where a small-group setting can let each rhythmic idea breathe. Issued by Mercury Records as 71574X45, this United States pressing joins jazz’s long exchange with Latin rhythms—a tradition built on movement, dialogue and the pleasure of a beat that keeps traveling.
