Dave Stewart And Barbara Gaskin - It's My Party / Waiting In The Wings

Description
Dave Stewart And Barbara Gaskin bring a familiar song into the crisp, playful world of synth-pop on “It's My Party,” where pop’s gift for turning private drama into a shared refrain finds a fresh electronic setting. The pairing of a classic title with “Waiting In The Wings” gives this single a pleasing sense of contrast: one song steps straight into the spotlight, while the other waits just beyond it. New wave has always made room for that kind of theatrical pop, balancing bright surfaces with a little tension beneath. This United States 7-inch single was issued by Platinum Records as PR-4, a neat meeting of songcraft and synth-era spirit.
