Deodato - Do It Again / Do It Again

Description
In 1974, Deodato put “Do It Again” on both sides of this 7-inch single, a neat invitation to spend a little longer with the same title. Brazilian musician Deodato is associated with jazz-funk, where the freedom and improvising spirit of jazz meet the steady pull of funk; Latin jazz brings another rich thread of rhythm into that wider conversation. The release appeared on Cti Records as OJ-18. “Do It Again” is a title with a natural sense of return, and here that repetition is part of the record’s identity, keeping the focus on one song rather than a pair of different sides.
