Diana - Just When I Needed You Most / Tie Me Down

Description
“Just When I Needed You Most” gives this 1979 country-pop single its familiar emotional doorway; “Tie Me Down” completes the pairing under Diana’s name. Country pop draws on country’s direct storytelling while keeping the compact shape and reach of pop, a blend that lets intimate feeling travel without losing its plainspoken character. Released by Elektra as E-46061, the record belongs to a tradition where a clear song and a memorable title can meet listeners halfway. Diana’s two titles make that balance the focus: country’s closeness to everyday emotion, carried in pop’s concise form. That meeting remains one of country pop’s enduring pleasures.
